gorgeous view! I can imagine that Nancy must have been very nervous with the monkeys! How did your knee managed those steps - I am not sure I could have!
We were fine until we got just past the entrance gate where there were signs telling us how to behave around the monkeys. What monkeys? None of us wanted to see another monkey! Not after yesterday and they were everywhere again!
However, these monkeys were not used to people feeding them so they weren't aggressive trying to get food from us. I couldn't resist taking a picture of a mom and new born baby monkey! What a little cutie he was! I didn't like the bigger monkeys that were on the sidewalk and you had to walk within inches of them. We were all spooked by the monkeys after yesterday.
Once we walked to the beach the monkeys were behind us – we didn't see any more. But we did see steps. I can't even estimate how many steps there were to get up to the temple and in this hot Indonesia heat! But we all made it to the top of the cliff to see the temple.
This is not in the journaling but the stairs were rather flat so it took a lot of distance to get up them. We started at the beach level and if you can see the temple structures on the very top - it took us forever but we all made it to the top.
