I always love your use of postcards and that sign made me smile. Budapest sounds intriguing and a place I might want to visit some day. Thanks for sharing your travels.
you and your KFC!!! LOL - I only sneak it once in awhile when I am out on my own - once or twice a year for a quick lunch and I usually regret it after. Love that post card
How fun you found a little bit of the ol' USA in Budapest. How was the subway there? Is it easy to get around on it? The pink background was such a great choice.
We took the hop-on hop-off back to the shopping district and strolled around until it was time for dinner. We were ready for American food and we so pleased to find our choice of familiar restaurants. We chose the KFC and even though it was a bit spicy, it was a good choice. It was the first place in Europe we found that offers free refills on the Cokes!
The hop-on hop-off buses had quit running for the night so we took the subway to a station very close to our hotel and walked the last block.
Budapest was much more than I expected. More beautiful, more architecturally exciting, more clean, more historical… just more than I ever expected.
Bill took the picture of me in front of KFC – we loved the sign, “wi-fi in the air”. The rest of the photographs on this page and the next are all post cards we bought while we were in Budapest.
