This is the first page of the 2014 world cruise. Anyone who follows my layouts knows I do a lot of journaling because I want to remember the story.

Out of the first 5 pages, 4 are mostly, or all journaling then the journaling lightens up! This was our first world cruise so I was so excited I wanted to journal everything so I don't forget anything about this trip!

The round thing with Bonefish grill is the coaster. I love coasters, I do not know why, but anywhere I go that has a coaster for the place - I scrap it.

I had a die cut with the word Miami on it so I added it to the paper.

I have no idea who made the flamingo paper - it was in my stash forever so I scanned and stitched it to make it digital paper.

I am happy to share things I use in digital scrapbooking. If anyone wants a digital file of the flamingo paper or the word Miami, pm your email address to me and I'll be happy to send it.

Here is the journaling:

Friday, January 3rd, 2014 – Happy Anniversary to us! Bill and I have been married for 5 years today! Sometimes it seems like 5 months and at other times, well, it seems like 50 years - like we've always been married.

Bill gave me the best anniversary present in the world – a cruise all the way around the world. Our home for the next 113 days will be in a cabin on the Holland America ship – the Amsterdam! Yikes! That is almost 4 months! We cruised on the Amsterdam in 2011 on the Grand Asia-Australia cruise and knew we loved the ship! We are very excited that Gene Young will be our Cruise Director because we became very fond of him on the Grand Asia-Australia cruise! In fact he is our favorite Cruise Director on any of the ships so we were delighted when we learned we would be sailing with him

We left bright and early this morning and spent a nice day driving from Ocala to Pompano Beach to spend the night with our friends, Bruce and Miriam. That will make it easy for us to drop off our car in the morning and get to the cruise ship terminal before lunch.

But tonight – it was celebration time! I asked Bruce and Miriam to pick out a seafood restaurant that they loved where we could all have dinner tonight and they recommended Bonefish Grill. We enjoyed our evening with them and our food was very good. I will go back to Bonefish Grill again, especially for the potato stacks. I could have just eaten a plate of potato stacks and been very happy!

Early to bed – tomorrow will be a busy day as we embark on our big adventure – all the way around the world on a cruise ship!
