Sometimes I think I'm a crafter--no wait! I'm an artist!-- but then I realize it is all about the WORDS. (Well, not ALL....) I wanted to explain the piece and defend that I hadn't robbed a caring peacock mother, nor was I trying to recreate an authentic nest, having taken considerable license with the project. But if you think about it, a peacock EGG is the ORIGINAL birdhouse for that particular peacock.
