Forgot to add, this little lady is made entirely of modeling paste and newspaper. I used the modeling paste as a sort of paper mache, cementing the figure I had made out of loose paper with it to give her newspaper skeleton some flesh. Then I cut up strips of specialty paper and wet brushed them over the modeling paste. The result was a sturdy, paper maquette without the crinkles of paper mache. I can't wait to experiment more with my modeling paste. The sky is the limit!
I love getting my hands dirty with mixed media supplies there's nothing like the feelling of finishing a project and having the evidence of it all over your hands. The awesome cool feel of modeling paste, the wet sticky inkis...sigh. I can smell and feel it now! Oh to live in a world mixed with media!
