The kids wanted me to take a walk up the mountain with them. Note, I’m wearing flip flops. It had rain the previous night. Yes, it was quite muddy, but once I started I took a deep breath and moved forward. Once we reached this huge tree with those hanging roots, Ashley said, “Come on Grandma you can do this”. Well who I’m I to disappoint her. I took the plunge and almost killed myself in doing so. However, I did better than Natalie. LOL! I never told them I did all that when I was a little girl.
