I made this card for a dear friend's 50th Wedding Anniversary. I learned this technique from a video by Jennifer McGuire of Jennifer McGuire Ink and step-by-step instructions by Erin of Everyday Expressions.

I wish I had the beautiful Altenew Glacier Caves Ink Set, but the Adirondack inks looked great once I added the vellum over the stamped images.

I was super careful, but it was difficult to keep the images that were embossed on vellum and the images stamped on cardstock lined up. The heat embossing made it difficult to keep the vellum completely flat. It did not look good when the flowering branches were not lined up so lining up the main flower and the branches took priority. When I added the Wink of Stella, I added it to the embossed images; I did not add it to the leaves that were outside the embossed areas. I think that looked best. Next time, I will only stamp the long branches on top of the vellum so I won't have to worry about lining them up with the branches stamped below the vellum. Since they are just an outline image, there is really no reason to stamp them in both places.

I would not have not tried to use Wink of Stella on vellum except Jennifer McGuire did it in her video showing how to make this card, and she just blotted it dry with a towel. The shimmer stays behind. Cool!
