Lots of work on this one. Santa himself was a Christmas tree ornament that for decades never got used because it was too heavy to hang on the tree. He sits in a box that I saved from the previous Christmas.
The reindeers are comfortably seated in a sleigh made from a piece of egg carton painted brown (painted many, many coats of brown - egg cartons are very absorbent).
Rudolph is made from a toilet paper roll and his nose is an old tree ornament.
Lots of pipe cleaners and wiggly eyes were used for this project. I added some battery powered lights and we placed everything on top of the refrigerator, along with our miniature Christmas tree.
The gang has become a favorite in our house during the holidays.
