How nice that he was emotionally ready to be left and it was traumatic for him. When they are that confident this young, they are usually confident through life! Beautiful job with these older photos and I love the old-timey camera!
Pat said it well, and if I had not read the description I never would have seen or known there was a goof!! You covered it creatively!! We know we raised a confident child when they can leave a parent and not be anxious, its a different story for parents!!!
A goof is nothing more than an opportunity for creativity! Nobody would know if you didn't confess to it, and it really looks great! There are always so many conflicting emotions on first days ... for kids as well as parents. Great job documenting yours!
Really cute layout! Love how you used both pictures! Such a great idea to use the camera stamp and you can't tell that you made a mistake! I do it all the time :)
You can't tell there was ever a mistake on this. It is so heartwarming with you and your DS. Love the punched pieces with the arrow strip. Your DS has a great smile.
Journaling: These pictures were taken for St. John's Episcopal Church directory where we attended services. Brian began pre-school there fall of 1974 - 2 mornings (think it was a.m. not afternoons) a week.Mom would be taking him and picking him up. The 1st day though I took him. When we got there Brian immediately found kids to play with while I talked with the teacher. I had to go looking for him to say goodbye. He was unconcerned and just said "Bye". It was more traumatic for me - leaving him there with people I didn't know.
I goofed in the corner by the title - I had tried to stamp the large camera directly on the paper there but due to it stamping on 2 different papers it would not stamp right. Had to cover it. Stamped on tan vellum then adhered to cs.
