Behind the pic is a mini copy of his letter to Santa and a note from me that reads:
Cody, this picture is so dear to me. This year you were questioning Santa and all the magic that surrounds him. Yes you wrote the letter, yes you mailed it...but for the first time I saw the doubt in your eyes and knew this may very well be the last year you believe. You are my youngest and with you goes the childhood innocence and belief that something so magical does exist. It ends a chapter in your life, along with mine when telling you boys that "you need to hurry and get in bed so Santa can come" created giggles and laying out cookies and all that went with curling up in bed and closing your eyes as hard as you could in anticipation of hearing reindeer on the roof. Christmas morning, you were so excited to awake and see what he left you. You swore up and down you heard him land on the house and walk through the kitchen. It was so sweet and I will miss the sparkle in your eyes when telling your magical tales to us. Enjoy this year Cody, and let the magic surround you when you say "I Believe"
