Oh that striped paper is so terrific. I swear it goes with everything. I have been hoarding my last six pieces of it. This place is so interesting. I can't wait to experience it for myself. Hahaha!
What interesting historical journaling. I would not have wanted to have to require hospital care in those days! So primitive next to the modern medicine we have today! That striped paper is awesome, I have used the same paper many times and it is one of my favorites. I love it for outdoor pages like this! Really like the little border strip you added to the striped paper!
Using all scraps except background cs. Inking/chalking. Used one postcard too.
From our visit to Fort Davis, Texas
Journaling: With a second ward added in 1884, the post hospital could accommodate up to 24 patients. It was normally staffed by a post surgeon, hospital steward, soldier-nurses, a cook or cooks, and a matron. The post surgeon rarely performed surgery. Soldiers suffered mainly from diseases and accidental injuries, not from battle wounds. The building has a central walkway with interpretive signs and interactive exhibits. We spent some time here walking the central walkway and reading the signs. The signs were about specific patients, what they had suffered from, and if they lived or died. It was fascinating!
