Love your photos! I didn't know that their feathers weren't waterproof. I do know I have seen them with their wings outstretched. Love the green cs for a background and your die-cut feathers!

Great photo Terri - and such interesting information. I didn't know what you call those birds. Whenever we are at Silver Springs on the glass bottom boat I see them all around with their wings fanned out to dry off. How interesting that they face away from the sun!
Anhingas are a funny bird. They are also known as snakebirds because they look like a snake in the water. They have to dry their wings just like a cormorant.
