This is a standard 5 1/2 x 5/12 inch square card. My card base is a bright yellow pearlescent cardstock. I used copper pearlescent card ( 1 1/2 inches by 5 1/4 inches) and embossed four pieces with a dandelion design (Diamond Press). I took the four pieces and matched them up first into a square, then cut each corner from outer to inner (mitered corners). I set each piece onto my card, gluing it piece by piece to line it up correctly. I cut and embossed a piece of the bright yellow pearlescent card (4 1/4 inch x 4 1/4 inch). I adhered this to the center of my card. Decoration on my card: I bought the Colorblock Mini Shapes Die Bundle from Spellbinders. There are two dies. One is a mat and the other one cuts 5 nested pieces in different shapes (ie: triangles, squares). I used three shades of red, gold mirror and a glitter card. I cut each color four times. This gave me extra in case I goofed. I laid out the different colors and built my blocks, alternating colors. I adhered the completed blocks to my card with glue. Sentiment: I cut this from a set of Spellbinder dies (Stacked Decorative Edges) using the same copper pearlescent card, and cutting a gold mirror card backing. I adhered this to the center of my card with foam squares. I added a yellow gem to each side of my sentiment.
