I watercoloured the background with a Karin marker and then ran it through my Bats Galore embossing folder from Whimsy Stamps. I wanted the bats to really stand out, so I ran a foam embossing tool over the bats with some Distress Oxide in Black Soot. This worked well, but it looked good, not great, I wanted to deepen the colour still more, but not get the surrounds inked. So I pulled out my Black Alcohol Marker (Promarker in this case) and coloured each little bat black. I diecut the black graveyard scene from the Howling Night Die Set, then ran that through my diecutting machine with my Wonky Stitched Rectangles Die Set from Whimsy. I ran the watercoloured panel through with this same die. I decided that black graveyard would look fun if the bats looked to be rising up from there, so I used the Bats Galore Embossing Folder to emboss that panel. It's subtle, but up close is a fun extra detail. The Boo Crew here are fabulous ghosties from the Boo Die Set by Whimsy Stamps. I diecut them from vellum for that see-through haunting vibe. The bats show through in the background here and there, which adds to the fun see-through look. The Boo sentiment, I cut from iridescent silver cardstock, so it catches the light and a rainbow of colours shift across it as it moves in the light, so fun!
