1. I created some castings with the moulds and air dry clay.

2. I prepped the moulded pieces including the vase individually with black gesso.

3. Once the pieces were dry I adhered them on top of the vase with 3D gloss gel, playing around with the composition until I was happy with the placement.

Tip: Using this gel to adhere the castings makes it easier to move around if you are not happy with the placement. It is a strong adhesive and great for adhering larger, heavier pieces.

4. I painted the entire project with metallique and sparks paints mixing the colours as I go, repeating the process until I was happy with the result.

5. I highlighted some areas with metallique wax.

6. I added some texture to the vase with metallic flakes, I adhered this with soft gloss gel.

7. I adorned the vase with some chain, metal embellishments and a sentiment.
