I'd been working on this card for a bit, here and there. It is for a young friend for whom I've sent annual Christmas cards, but I've also sent his wife (also my friend) a birthday card, too. Well, it is time I stopped neglecting him.
This character kept jumping up and down in my craft room shouting, "Andy, Andy, Andy!" and I finally got the hint. Besides, it actually kind of looks like him, too!
I used Tim Holtz Lumberjack Plaid and holiday mica sprays to coat my background embossing, then covered it in a layer of clear embossing powder sprinkled with some copper embossing powder and heated up the whole lot for the "elegantly aged" look.
As for the last batch of my Christmas cards, I should be able to get them done in the next couple of days, I hope. There is a sadness in our family right now, but we'll see.
Stampin' Up! supplies: Merry Merlot, Black, Crumb Cake, Cinnamon Cider, Gray Granite, Seaside Spray, and specialty Gold and Rose Gold cardstocks; Tin Tile embossing folder; and Clubhouse stamp set and Golf dies.
