Great story Bren and I get the tie in with the other page. The rainbow here is black and white cause of what it represents. And then it gets in color because of Tito and Tita. I think the "my dad" gets lost like that. I think it should go above the picture of you and not hirzontal like that. I am not a huge fan of those people on the side but if you feel it represents you I understand them. That's just personal taste. I would have made the "YOU" out of red to bring a little more color in there than the red tag and I would have single matted that photo. I like that it's black and white.
very amazing story behind this LO. i love this title, and before i read the description i thought of that book "where's my mother" i believe it had something to do with an elephant or some sort of animal. anyways, i love this Lo, love the red tag.. def adds color to the b&w.
I got the idea for the title from a book that I had as a kid called, "Are You My Mother?" by P. D. Eastman. That photo of me was taken of me when I was about 3 or 4. It was originally color, but I changed it to b & w for this lo. The pull-out tab beneath the photo reveals journaling that recounts my search for a dad in the faces of my mom's many suitors while growing up. My biological father's identity remained questionable throughout my childhood. Although he actually worked next door to our family business all those years, we didn't finally make a connection until I was in college. We have had a relationship for over ten years now.
