Hi There! Upcycling book page is a great way to make pockets for a junk journal. We all have tons of book page, so lets put it to use making pockets. Heres how I made these two side pockets.

Tear down a book page to be the desired width, then fold it with the seam in the back. I used a bone folder to get a crisp fold, but you can just press it in place.

Glue only the left side of the first fold. For the second one, put glue on both the left side and top edge to seal the pocket.

I like to ink the edges of my pocket, but that is optional. Now, place glue on the back of the pocket and secure it on your page.

Decorated the pockets with a strip of pattern paper and some lace, but you can decorate them any way you like.

Finally, I made tags for each of the pockets by cutting a rectangle of pattern paper and punching two of the edges with a shell corner punch.

The flip side of the music paper is blank, so I added a strip of paper and a sticker to dress it up a bit.

I have lots more inserts to share with you, so please stop back to see the rest of my Little Mermaid junk journal.

Happy Scrapping!
