Give a Cheer
Companion page to an earlier layout of my dad grilling his heart out. This one is of me and my turn at the grill with my dinner contribution, teriyaki (Japanese skewered grilled chicken). I used a layout prompt - starts with D, hence a lot of D products and techniques.
I started with inking the background, using a brayer, with Distress inks. The paper is from the Doodlebug School Days collection with some edges Distressed, accented by Die cuts (yay yay yay) using DCWV paper to shadow the words, and Dazzles stickers, which include Dots. The banner base is paper that was dry embossed with a Darice photo and I added DMC gold thread to accent the windmill-spinner sticker.
