Give a Cheer
Hey friends, I had fun with a cute stamp set from Whimsy Stamps recently called Beach Frogs. I've created two very different designs with the set, but using very similar elements. For the first card, I used a cool Dotty Stencil from Whimsy to create the bokeh background with a mix of Distress Oxide colours. On the second card, I used that same stencil to emboss the circles and then coloured them up with Copic Markers as lilypads. Two very different but equally fun crafty adventures. These froggies are adorable, so it's no surprise to see more than one company feature them. I believe Picket Fence also have a cute set with these images. Because I used Distress Oxide to stamp the sentiment, they oxidised of course, which made them fade a little into the bokeh background, so I drew over the lettering with a glitter pen from Kaisercraft to enhance the definition of the letters. The second photo better shows this. Swipe left to see both cards. The frogs on the bokeh card were coloured with Copic Markers, on the lilypad card, I used metallic markers to give them a slick 'just out of the water' shimmer, but the card background was coloured with Copic Markers.
