I do the same thing. I had photo's just thrown in boxes and one day decided it was time to organize. Took me weeks but this makes easy access. Great inspirational picture.

Photo project Manager

This is how I store my photos into various categories: events, themes, people, etc. I have 3 boxes like this. The labels are from an office supply store and are removable once I've scrapped the photos and the extra photos either get tossed, saved for someone or added to another project.
