Birthday/Party journalling prompts. My journalling tends to be rather brief and boring, and this
was such a help in getting more details down!
Since John's and his cousin ***'s birthdays are only about a week and a half apart, we again celebrated their birthdays together with Daddy's side of the family, this time at ***'s house.
John's cake (homemade by Mommy) was chocolate with chocolate frosting with a toy construction truck on top and his name in blue and yellow frosting to resemble the Bob the Builder sign.
John received lots of wonderful presents, which his cousin *** helped him open, but his favorites were the start of his Fisher Price GeoTrax collection. He's loved trains for quite a while and GeoTrax train and other transportation sets are truly designed for preschoolers. He got one or two sets from Mommy and Daddy and several from Grandma and Grandpa B***. The garbage truck was an instant hit and was a frequent companion in the car and even taken to bed with him. In the middle of the night we would hear it's "Beep beep beep" over the baby monitor as he woke up, played with it for a moment, and drifted back to sleep.
