In Japan, cranes are mystical (or holy) creature, said to live 1000 years. A Japanese tradition, 1000 origami cranes are given (primarily) to those who are ill. The cranes are supposed to be made within a year and by the person(s) making the wish of health. I made these, using 2.75 origami paper, to give to my father who is undergoing chemo treatment.
I really like the background I made by sponging on ink then splattering tiny splats of silver watercolor paint. Its kind of sad that, as with most mm backgrounds, its all covered up! Wish I could remember where I got the zigzag stickers - probably at an expo.
