I first put low tack tape along each of the four sides of an A2 US size card (imagine a 8 1/2 x 11 cut in equal rectangles size). I chose the Lavinia stencil Feather Leaf for the background on an A2 sized card and used a brush and circular motions to stencil the two Distress Oxides Shaded Lilac and Villainous Potion onto the Stencil using Scrapbookcom mint low tack tape to hold down one side. I made the two corners darker by using a tad bit of Uncharted Mariner Distress Oxide in the corners with a dauber. Altenews Persian Blue inkpad could be used instead of Uncharted Mariner. Or whatever deep medium dark blue you have.

The exquisite Lavinia Mooch (cat) stamp was my focal point and I used the Lavinia Mini Flutter Butterfly Stamp as Mooch's focus point. (One could use an acrylic block to mount the stamps to, I had my Misti on the counter so used it to stamp repeatedly with magnets holding down the card.) Stamped the exquisite cat with such incredible character using Nocturne Versafine Clair pigment ink. You could use whatever black inkpad you have. This time I just created by choosing a color palette that was shades of purple.
I usually i follow a youtube video but created this layout myself.

I wanted to use the four mini Lavinia butterflies stamps but stored that in my brain as a to-purchase item in the future and just chose to use what I have for this card and I'm quite happy with it!

Having been influenced by a couple of Jo Rice's tutorials on youtube in the past I used Lavinia Orchard Grass Stamp at the base with Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide and Uncharted Mariner Distress Oxides. I chose Lavinia's Forest Creeper Stamp to cascade from the top as a place the butterfly would flutter towards. It was in the darker purple shade of Villainous Potion distress oxide. I probably could have put a few more wild grasses along the bottom but chose to keep it clean and simple. This way the stencil choice was as important as the stamping. I compared different stencils and out of three runner ups went with the Feather Leaf Lavina Stencil. Have you ever dreamed of using Lavinia stamps?

Finally I used a couple sentiments from UnityStampCo, one being Hello There from one of Angie's Guys line and the sentiment "Little Moments with you matter" from my Unitystampco.com ONLY IMAGINE unitystampco stamp sentiment. I fussy cut the words out using Cutter Bee yellow and black scissors and Tim Holtz Tonic Studios large black scissors and glued it using Gina K Connect Glue.

As a finishing touch I used Periwinkle Liquid Pearls to leave a few dots in the hanging vine as well as Petunia Liquid Pearls.

This was really fun to create using what I had on hand and keeping it easy enough to finish within an hour or so. I spent time pulling out all the tools and stamps i would choose from and assembling them on the kitchen island. The orange silicone is a silicone cooking mat from Bed Bath and Beyond. It works!

The final reveal was pulling scrapbookcom's mint low tack tape off the four sides to reveal the perfect border around my stamped cat and butterfly card1
