Here's a LO to help me transition into fall and I know what you're thinking, "fall creations started weeks ago". It's a little challenging to get cozy when it's still 100 plus degrees outside! I love to layer and cluster. I also love to use mixed media and add dimension to my LO's. Soon, you'll find out that I am a sucker for stitching on paper! I started by stamping a mixture of stamps with Vintage Photo and Black Soot. I splattered with Spun Sugar to brighten all the neutral ink. All the bits of paper are from this FABULOUS Prima paper collection. I fussy cut the fur boots and feather. I took scissors to the feather for texture and scissors to the scraps to create banners. I inked the edges of some of the paper bits with Vintage Photo for you got it, a vintage look! To bring out the pinks in the paper and my photo, I inked the edges of some of the bits with a combo of Spun Sugar and Vintage Photo. I tore some of the paper and distressed the edged of others for texture. The snowflake sequin, burlap and washi tape are from my stash. I hand wrote part of the title under the letters from the collections' sticker page and splattered the paper clusters with white acrylic paint. Finally, I machine sewed a couple zig zags for yet another element of texture. These girls are done with summer and ready to welcome the cooler weather and I gata tell ya, so am I!
