This is the most amazing layout ever!

I used Gina K 'Master Layout 4' die, which has the shadow heart and scalloped rectangle in just the right size.

'Spring Blessings' is the name of the Gina K stamp I used for the classic swallowtail bird.

The ephemera for the flowers was Gina K's 'Floral Watercolor ephemera'.

The words were from Gina K's 'LOVE TRIO' which includes both the cursive love and the block love. She put the cursive over the block word LOVE. I put it above cause my card was longer. It looks great either way!

The cardstock I used was Dusty Rose by Gina K designs.
Then white Neenah 110 cardstock from Amazon that I had in my stash.

I made over thirty of these valentines day cards, to give to family to give to their grown up kids, spouses etc. I consider it a Beginner card because it is so easy to make especially following Gina K's youtube video
'Heart Topped A-2 Card - A Fun Fancy Fold'

Please note that if you need the card to fit into a USA A2 envelope, then follow her directions and make the card more square than I did. I didn't cut off the scallops at the top of the card and make the dusty rose cardstock shorter like she did in the video only to discover it wouldn't fit into the small A2 envelopes I have! Luckily I was able to find large odd size envelopes at Walmart but they are a bit big for this card. My learning curve.

This is an amazing Valentine's card that when I added sequins seemed perfect for the grown up woman i know. For next year i plan to add a dinasaur or monster or bear for kid valentines instead of the timeless swallowtail bird. That's how easy it is to mix it up. For men, it depends on what they are into, some love nature and hiking so a hiking boot or a motorcycle or truck or tools might be something they'd relate to, depends on the interest of the woman or men in your family. As well, you could use any floral that you have in place of the floral watercolor ephemera. It was practically my first time using ephemera and it sped up the card making process immensely, I made amazing flowers with faux pearl centers for the Breezy Swing Spellbinders die of the month before but boy did it take time to make enough flowers so i was thrilled to have this one take less time. But cost adds up when you are making thirty!

Let's remember the woman in our lives on Valentine's Day! And the single woman, if you have an aunt or cousin or sister that is single give them a single rose, any color, or a card to show them you think of them and remember how treasured they are to you even if they arn't in an active relationship.

Happy Crafting!
Leave me a comment if you make this card, I'd love to see yours!
