Give a Cheer
I love a good monochromatic mixed media project! For this project, I applied modeling paste through a stencil to the canvas. Then I mixed up a custom paint: 1/2 drop of Crimson, 1 drop Ochre and 3 drops Nude Liquid Acrylic Paint. I added water and applied it to the canvas and the moulds like a watercolor.
Once it was all dry, I added a bit of Copper Metallic Flakes to the moulds. To create a more aged look, I went over the highlights of the moulds with white gesso.
I die cut leaves from the Apricot Honey 12x12 paper pad then piled all of my embellishments onto my 4x12 inch canvas. I finished off by adding white gesso to the flowers and adding some Memory Hardware Pearls.
