These layouts were made in late 2002 early 2003. This is "My Mothers History". There are no pictures of my mother on this page, just lovely memorbelia and a little biography. I scanned the picture of the purple bloomers that my mother and her BF made when they were children for their baby dolls. They sewed in their nicknames. Below left is a little red iron that belonged to my mother also (scanned in) that really works. Add on right below are two separate locks of hair. The top being cut of January 19th 1937. She was 2 yers, 1 month and 5 days old. The bottom being cut March 31, 1939. It was just down below her shoulders. I put them in memory pockets. My journaling in the top left reads (just in case you cannot see it in the pic....Elois Pauline Morris. My mother was born on December 12, 1932 in Wapella, Illinois, in a house on my Grandmother and Grandfathers farm. her parents were John Oscar Morris and Mary Evangeline (Borders) Morris. Her middle name took on the name of her Aunt Pauline. Mom spent a lot of time growing up with her grandmother (Mary Eliza Borders) while her sister (Dorris Morris) grew up with her own mother. This played a way in which mannerisms came to each child. When Mom and her sister were very little, they were very close. Some of my Mom's nicnames were Elk, Lou, and Weese. My Mom collected little dog figurines as a child and she pretty much hand made all of her baby doll clothes. She loved to sew and was the mothering type. She loved animals, just like her mother. She was such a pretty little girl with that dark brown hair and big brown eyes and a beautiful young woman. She always had tons of confidence. She was very outgoing and not shy at all. I admire her for being so beaitufl. She made it through her Junior Year in High School before dropping out and then went on to get her GED and went to a University called Browns Business College to improve her skills. Unlike my father, while she was growing up she was not as poor.
