I love the different take on a Christmas layout! What I'm really feeling is the torn vellum behind the photos...might have to use that idea myself now!
Very jazzy LO. Not so standard Xmas....makes it very interesting. I esp. like the swirls and the bow...cool framing. Even hidden journaling with each of your memories for this Xmas would be great.
Ok..first off! Faaaaaahh-bu-lous pictures, dahhhling. I gotta get me a leopard skin Santa hat! Please let me know where you got it! This LO is the bomb. I love the symmetry of it. The flourishes are perfection. I love the torn vellum to elevate the pic above the patterned paper. Looks beautiful! I want something at the top...but I really DON'T want it centered. I want a little something askew. To play off the quote at the bottom. Maybe you could put a little tilted journaling block that says something like, "However, the thing I treasure most, is time spent with you." I'm seeing it at the top left or right of the pics. This is a beautiful LO, Melissa!
This is too cute! (Oh and love those pants!) I think this is a great xmas lo, love the colors, doodles, stocking caps, and the different sized brads...offers some good visual interest.
Photo placement = perfect. The focus of this layout is thepictures. The swirls are cools and they draw more attention to the photos! Love your color scheme and the bookplate. Now it's an awesome layout BUT there is always room for pizzazz. I see some goldish stars at the top of the photos to help and represent Christmas. I would cut them out of chipboard or cardstock and use a gold pen. I think a snazzy title would work well in between the stars!
love the pp of this one. is that painted around the pic and those flourishes? love whatever that is you made the bow with. I think the bookplate takes care of remembering the event. I think it's good you didn't put a title.
This is a LO I did of us at Christmas. It was sooo much fun to make this. The bookplate says "Christmas 2006". The swirls I drew with a white conte crayon, cut them by hand, and then smeared the crayon with a tissue to age the paper. The bow is made out of some brown rafia I picked up a while ago and FINALLY found a use for!
