I got a scanner on freecycle (hooray!) so this is my first digital using a scanned photo. I never got to meet my father-in-law so I did this page up with a passport photo of his from 1959. Journaling reads: "I can only wonder...Would we have gotten along? How would your son be different if you were here? Would you have given your grandchildren piggyback rides? Eaten ice cream with them? Would I have caught glimpses of your Irish brogue? Would you and my dad have exchanged jokes? What you would have said to your son as he buried his daughter? Why your son's fondest memory of you is when you wore that hat with the ear flaps? What would possess you to tell your son thatyou would give him a quarter for a noose if he married an Irish woman? Which of us would have eaten more donuts? I wish we could have met, just once, so I could just know. Your daughter-in-law May, 2007"
