For the May Doodling Challenge (stitches doodled on the hearts) for the May Keyword Challenge (3 not red hearts and the words Heart to Heart written on the Hearts) and for the Imperfect Lives Challenge (All the things that made Alexis go Hmm? while I was pregnant. There are a whole bunch of question marks used in the journalling. I hope that counts.).......... Journalling reads: A part of motherhood is answering lots and lots of difficult
questions. For some reason my children think I know the
answers to everything! Alexis, at 5 years old, was very
intrigued by my pregnancy and had several questions about
what exactly was going on in my tummy. Some of my favorite
questions were…

Mommy how did you get pregnant? Did the doctor give you
a shot to get you pregnant? (Umm Yep honey that’s just how
it happened) Mommy did you know your belly is getting too
bigger? Your belly looks like Santa’s. (Thank you honey for
pointing that out. I hadn’t noticed.) Mommy what are those
red things on your tummy? (They are stretch marks dear.)

Mommy how does the baby get out of there? Does he come
out of your bellybutton? (Yes dear he does. Hey it was close
enough, I had a c-section.) Mommy is the baby wearing
clothes? (No Alexis he’s in there naked.) Eww Mommy! Well
is he wearing a diaper? (No dear.) Well how does he poo and
pee? (He just does honey.) Eww. Well does he have any toys
in there Mom? (Nope.) And my favorite… When is the baby
coming out Momma? (I hope it’s soon Alexis!) March 2007
