This is the first page of my heritage album. It kind of describes how I feel as I work with the old, old, photos and start to feel a kind of connection with the people in them. It says: As I work, you take on a personality and I want to know more about you.

It feels like I am looking through a keyhole and getting to see just a glimpse of your life; one tiny moment ...frozen for years to come. You surely could not have imagined I would be looking or interested all these years later.

I find myself trying to imagine what you were thinking about as you were posing. I wonder what kind of things you did for fun. What kind of troubles and struggles did you have along the way. What gave you joy; what made you sad? What would you think if you could see and get to know the generations that have followed you? What would you think of the world, the technology, the people and the trends of my time?

Will anyone be interested in seeing a glimpse of my time...frozen for years to come?...

You have made my days a mere handbreadth; the span of my years is as nothing before You. Each man's life is but a breath. Psalm 39:5
