Natalie, I am a newbie and I have been wondering what mulbery paper was, I assume it is the beautiful feathery matt on your page. I think it looks gorgeous not girlie. But once again I think you have a beautiful baby. my daugter had all her early pics at Olan Mills but once I tried Sears I never when back, I love ordering exactly the size and number of each sheet I want (no more big ones hehe)and I love the little proof sheet you get the day you take the pictures. I love how they retake them until you are happy. I have had as many as 17 shoots get 6 good pitures. And you know immedately if the kid was looking at the camera smiling or eatting the teddybears ear. I have even gone back in to reshoot after we where done and looking at the picturs on the screen. um sorry... I think i'll get off my Sears Box now...
Awww he is just the cutest thing!! Love the huge smiles - don't they just make life worth living :)
I thought those tags were real! Might have to get me some of those! Love the whole thing.

Thanks everyone for the wonderful comments. Really boosting my confidence level about scrapbooking. Like I said before, you all have inspired me!!
Susan, I got the font here http://www.momscorner4kids.com/fonts/index.htm and yes, it was free!!! I'm working on something with the Diaper Pins font as Bennie wears cloth diapers. I was excited to see that one!!
WOW Natalie!!!! :teeth: You are doing a FABULOUS job!!!!!!!! I'm so impressed with how you have exceeded in your tecnique on the lo's you have posted. You are doing such a wonderful job. Like I said before, your son is going to look at this album you've done for him and be so proud of his mom. (Lots of :smile:s)
My name is Natalie and I'm a scrapoholic!!! (that's for Debbie :-) I wish I HAD done the button tags but I have to admit that they are Fresh Cuts. Looks so real on the LO even "I" was beginning to think I had actually done those button tags after I had had some wine and had forgotten that I did them:-) Anyway, they're Rebecca Sower's Fresh Cuts. These particular ones were on sale for a quarter (six tags) so I like them even much better. I bought a whole bunch of Fresh Cuts that were all 60% off.... And the cardstock was $.07 per sheet...even the patterned ones. It was a banner day when I went shopping for this LO.
Thanks for all the comments. Makes me feel like I know what I'm doing!! I get my inspiration on here. That's part of my process!!
Wow this one is great. I love the button tags you did, and the mulberry looks great even if you werent in it :) Although I love this picture of the two of you. The way he is smiling reminds me of my little Amy when she was an infant. I like the way you layed out the pics too. Great Job! Ok I know you are Bennies mom but what is your name? If I might ask,
Debbie
Your layouts are getting better and better as you get more experienced, I really like the twistel and mulberry paper--I don't think that it makes the page looks feminine at all, I think it just gives a soft touch which is great for babies. Great color choices!
this is fabulous Natalie. I am glad you went to the trouble of having it scanned so I could take it all in! I didn't know those were fresh cuts. they look great! My how you have evolved!

Just realized I had this one twice so Dakota Barb, Taunja and ScrapperMom, I DID see your comments. Thanks much. Had to delete one of the photos. I didn't realize when you post to the Contest, it's also on here so.... Anyway, thanks again and the double pic is a goner!!
OK... I had some Kinko $$ left on a card from way back when so took this LO to get scanned since my sister has my digicam. (DUMB move on my part!)Unfortunately, there weren't enough $$ to scan the other LO's and I refuse to pay that exorbitant price!!
Anyhoo, It was interesting trying to put the two pieces to make one LO... AS you can see, I didn't do such a good job but you get the general idea.
Had fun playing with new stuff - the mulberry paper, fresh cuts (which I didn't cut so well - I guess I need that cutterbee)and the Twistel tag stringie thing. I enjoyed doing this LO. I think I like mulberry paper!!! Didn't think I would for Bennie's album cause I thought it would be too feminine but this one seems ok since there IS a female in the pic... hee hee. Thanks for looking.
Not exactly DOING anything,(except smiling, of course) but I entered it into the Baby Contest. Doesn't hurt to try!! :-)
Journaling reads: Mommy decided that it was time for a change of venue from taking portraits at Sears. We had a coupon for baby so for your 3 months portraits, we headed to the only Olan Mills in the area at the K-Mart in Gaithersburg, MD, a 35 mins drive. We had to wait for two hours but after a quick nap and some boobie juice, you were all smiles to the delight of a very apologetic photographer. When Mommy went to check out the proofs, they were all so cute she had a very difficult time deciding which ones to get so got a package that cost a mint and decided we wouldn't go back there again!! :-) Of course these priceless pictures were well worth the dollars.
