Aw thats sweet. Love the colours, and that title is in such a great font!! I like the doodling around the border, the first time i glanced i thought it was blanket stitch!! The dots on the light blue paper look very nifty and they go well with the buttons. Well done!!
Funny, I thought of doing the same with the promise ring schrubby gave me years ago. With a ring like that, it looks like Brandon intends on keeping his promise. Jeez! I wonder what the engagement ring is going to look like! I like the whimsical girlish high school notebook feel to this line of pp. I have to admit that I originally thought you doodled the dots and dashes and cut those strips from different papers. I love the colors you chose and how they convey your contentedness. I also like the doodling around the page and the pp in the title. Though I like the colors of the buttons, I didn't get how they related at first, but the comments below helped me to understand the symbolism. I do think it works and they add to the page. I like what you typed in your description above, before you quoted your journaling, and think that those sentiments would have fit nicely on this page. My only critique is that the dark color of that blue strip with the black dashes, keeps pulling my eyes downward and away from the photos. You might consider trimming that part of the strip off and adding the description to your journaling.
i just saw this and i was like "omg, did i miss something??" i thought it was an engagement ring at first glance!! lol. this is so sweet though, what a beautiful ring! i love the pics and elsie pps!
I love the doodled border around the cardstock. If you had a close up picture of the ring in the box, I think that would have had more impact, since the hand photos are "away" pics, the ring box photo could have been the detail shot. I agree with the buttons and the ties having symbolism of your ties to each other. The journaling is heartfelt and wonderful. Great job!
Jess, beautiful job all around. I love the peacefulness of the blue with the balance of the borwn. Love the little inked details. Your photo grouping is perfectly done. I love the ties on the buttons too; a symbolic "ties that bind" for me.
This is such a sweet page. The pp is adorable & the buttons are so cute! I love the various pics, especially the one w/ Brandon's hand in it. Great placement & balance! So meaningful, glad you scrapped it.
Jessica, I absolutely love the way you used these papers. Everything looks so peaceful and "together". Your title and pictures are perfectly beautiful. Your journaling is so touching and sweet. I adore the buttons on the right. They are magnificent and really draw my eye to the pics. This is superb, Jess. Great job!
Jess, this is beautiful! I love the way you did the title and the photo placement , and the buttons on the side! The journaling is so special! Great job!
Hi jess .. I love the font you used, it works so well with the papers you used. The photo placement is awesome and I love that the title curves around it .. and the buttons on the side is precious and the handwritten journaling makes this layout extra special. Such a balanced layout!
This is for the SH WC to scrap something that really means something to us. This one is about the promise ring my boyfriend got me for last christmas. It really means so much that he put so much thought into it, just so I know how much he loves me, and that he really wants to be with me. Journaling: Everytime I look at this promise ring I can't help but think of Brandon, and how much I love him. December 2006. (oops I wrote 2007 on the LO, will have to fix that lol) I love my new love, elsie stuff.. and was so excited to finally use it. I also doodled around the brown cs.
