Wow- now that's creative!! Love how you made your flower's & the poem is just adorable! I wish my mom wouldn't kept stuff like this from when I was a kid. Great job!
What a lovely card, good on your mum for saving things, mine was the other way threw everything away. As I say to my DH, "this is why I keep so much, can't throw anything away". Our attic looks like a junk yard, bits and pieces everywhere. :)
this was a card i made for my daddy when i was about six or seven. i 'm about about one and a half in the picture. i didn't want to change the card, but i did go over the writing that was in pencil with a brown pen so it would show up, and wouldn't fade with time. this is for the "use what I send you" challenge. i received a roll of paper ribbon with vacation words on it... i altered it by painting it, and cutting petals from it to form my flowers. The Journaling reads: mama saved everything, and i do mean everything! i loved to cut and glue and would sit for hours with anything i could get my hands on to "create" with. this is a card i made for daddy out of a card from a package of pantyhose! i told you my mama saved everything!!! i had given mama a card with the poem i have on the card, for mother's day when i was in kindergarten. after that, i think that every card i ever made her had the same poem on it. so, for father's day, i didn't see why i couldn't use the same poem....nevermind that it didn't rhyme! it says,"in all the world there is no other, can take the place of my dear father." oh well, it's the thought that counts, right?
