Dichotomy: [dahy-kot-uh-mee] -noun, plural –mies 1. division into two parts, kinds, etc.; subdivision into halves or pairs 2. division into two mutually exclusive, opposed, or contradictory groups: a dichotomy between thought and action
We tend to see these dualities and divisions when we look at the world. We even tend to define some words in relation to these opposites.
Black and white. Good and evil. Left and right. Heaven and hell.
Each little black envelope contains a pair of words that make up a classic dichotomy. These are going to be the words that guide the creation of this journal.
Step 1: Sign in. Decorate your tag however you wish. Step 2: Choose an envelope – no peeking! Step 3: Once you have your words (inside the envelope), please decide whether you want to focus on the first word, the second word, or both words in the dichotomy. It’s entirely up to you. Step 4: Complete a 2-page layout based on the word(s) you’ve selected. Be creative – and most importantly – have fun with the theme! 
Thank you for the time, energy and creativity you are giving to my journal. I look forward to completing this circle with you!
