Perfect Pearls are perfection! (12 April 2011)

Perfect Pearls are so much fun to use! I simply stamped my image with a Tim Holtz Black Soot ink pad and then brushed Perfect Pearls on top while the ink was still wet. Then I heat set it. I LOVED the result I got each time I used it! I'm totally hooked and can't wait to use it on cards.

    amazing ink! (12 April 2011)

I love this Distress Ink from Ranger/Tim Holtz! I needed ink for a stamping project & this ink was perfect for the job. It stays wet just a little longer, which allowed me to dab Perfect Pearls on top of the stamped image to give it some shine. I will definitely be using this as my go-to ink from now on!

    pretty ribbon (12 April 2011)

I needed lots of this ribbon for making several cards and was happy to see that it is sold in bulk! I made prom invitations for my teacher friend's school and this ribbon added just the right classy & vintage touch. The ribbon also has a hint of shine to it, making it extra pretty.

    fabulous cardstock (12 April 2011)

I love Bazzill cardstock! Garnet is such a lovely, deep red. And the orange peel texture is perfect for making nicer cards. I love that Bazzill cardstock is so sturdy too - the perfect base for a layout or card.

Say YES! to chipboard albums (11 November 2008)

I am loving this chipboard album! It's thick, sturdy, & looks good too. I bought it to hold all my misc. recipes that I've collected over the years. And because it has D-rings, I can store a lot of recipes in it. I love the idea of designing my own cover, too. It seems most larger albums don't allow you to alter them as much as you can this kind. Horray for creativity!

Holy Cow! I love this trimmer! (29 November 2007)

It was time for me to trash the old paper trimmer & invest in a new one. I did my homework & researched all the trimmers out there. It arrived quickly (thanks scrapbook.com!). The manual provides the lowdown on the trimmer, which I sugges reading before using it because there are a few safety features that make it a little tricky to use for the novice Purple Cow Paper Trimmer user. I LOVE that it snaps together & sits on my scrap desk as one piece. And because it separates into two trimmers, I can take the smaller side to scrap with friends. It takes some getting used to when trying to align papers if you are used to another cutting system. I would suggest making practice cuts on unwanted photos till you get the hang of it. And I have found that it is much easier to stand up when using the rotary blade. This allows you to apply more pressure when making your cut. All in all, I'd have to say I am VERY pleased with my Purple Cow.
