Kaleidascope's Reviews

  • Doodlebug frills (18 July 2007)

Doodlebug frills are the perfect page accent. The packaging contains a variety of patterned frills which makes them versatile for any themed layout. The white color is bright and can be painted or inked to match the colors in your layout. The biggest catch of the frills are the low price and the amount obtained. Frills look great for separating patterned papers, making borders around photos, in ribbon slides, and as page accents.

    3D Puffy Pens (18 July 2007)

The Souffle pens by Sakura are a great tool to add texture and dimension to any craft. When using the pen, it takes a couple of minutes for the ink to dry. Afterwards, the ink leaves a noticeable embossed path. The inks work best on slick surfaces, such as photos, or on dark cardstocks. The pens are great to outline stamping, to doodle, to accent chipboard pieces, write dates on photos. The only limitation of these pens are the pastel colors are not versatile.

  • Pajamas Felt Thickers (18 July 2007)

American Crafts certainly has the right recipe for creating titles on your pages. These felt thickers are more than letter stickers because they add dimension and texture to your page. The size of the letters is perfect for titles because they aren’t too tall and yet they’re large enough to grab attention. The pajamas font is playful and works well with vacation, and family layouts. The only downside to the felt thickers is that they are not fully opaque and thus if used on a light background, it can seep through.
