Scrappi Sassi's Reviews

  • One of the most beautiful digital kits I own at an amazing price! (31 January 2008)

    J. Baechtold is one of my favorite designers... she has outdone herself with the Essence line! If you enjoy shabby chic, vintage, a subtle distressing, and are looking for a line of papers, tags, and embellishments that can be used to create many looks; this is definitely the kit for you. The Essence digital kit is so versatile you can create anything from a very elegant look to an ultra feminine, or even a layout that is truly masculine... this kit offers enough paper selections and elements to do just that. I love how the elements are created to look so natural that it is nearly impossible to tell that they are digital. With this kit you can create your layout or project entirely digital or print out some of the high quality elements and use them just as you would with traditional paper crafting. With just a few added 3 dimensional objects you will also have a great hybrid layout or project. The thing that never ceases to amaze me is the unbelieveable price for such high quality! It will be difficult to find such a product elsewhere!

  • Nantucket, Nantucket... Not just for Nantucket! (31 January 2008)

I have been "playing" with digital scrapbooking, as well as hybrid scrapping for about 2 years now and have found it difficult to find wonderful kits with lots of elements. This kit, however, is definitely the exception to the rule! I also find it difficult, like most scrappers I talk to, to find kits (whether they are digital or traditional) that work great for boys or families... Nantucket is fabulous on this point as well! I love the tags, photo corners, pockets, envelopes, etc. When you purchase the kit as a whole (with the papers, etc.) It really is a great product and most exceptionally... it is a GREAT BARGAIN!! I will continue to look for and buy digital products through scrapbook.com!

Better than sliced bread, maybe even chocolate...well maybe! (10 January 2008)

If you've never made an ATC this beautiful system will definitely make you deeply desire to, just for the pure pleasure of displaying it on your coffee table or desk!
When I first made just a few ATC's it was a bit like my greeting card art... wonderful because you get this amazing adrenaline rush with the instant gratification and perfect for trying out new techniques that just cannot wait. But then, the brick wall gets in the way...oops! and ouch! Now just how on earth am I suppose to store all of these amazing creations without everyone realizing that I've finally comes to grips with the fact that I am a pretty amazing artist???
WaLa! 7Gypsies has once again saved the day! This perfect display rack along with these wonderful tag refills (and buy lots and lots of extras because people are going to beg you to have just "one") looks so amazing when you put it all together, that I promise you NO ONE, yes, I did say NO ONE, will ever be the wiser. They will definitely think this was the purpose for them all along!
    ... Genius!

  • Recomment to a Friend? - I have! and will Continue to! (10 January 2008)

Wow! You would not imagine that great strides could be made in a product like something so simple as "chalk", but think again! Pebbles I kan'dee Chalks will definately surprise even the most seasoned scrapper, stamper or multi-media artist.
The colors are amazing, especially because each well contains a complementary highlight and lowlight/shadow color. Also included in each case is a stylus type tool not quite as long as a pencil with a clipping mechanism on the end. This can be used with the 3 different sized cotton balls provided or you can experiment as I have with small pieces of torn t-shirt fabric, paper towel, makeup applicator sponge torn to fit the stylus, just about anything that is porous enough to pick up the chalk and move it around your selected paper. It's definitely a creative and out of the box system that really works for the consumer! I hope to have every palette' soon!
