I bought this too when it first came out. I had only used it for the extra large grommets that came with it on my layouts. I do like it for the larger grommets. it worked just fine for those.HOWEVER....... last night I tried to punch holes with it. and guess what.... it won't punch a hole at ALL ! the bottom metal plate is out of alignment with the hole puncher, and so it will only barely crease a tiny bit of the paper. I was so MAD. mostly at myself for not testing all of its capability when I first purchased it, but also because now I can't use it for one of its main purposes. I am going to try and return it, but not very hopeful. I would say to stick with the smaller hand held one.

I had been hesitant to take on a large chipboard embellishment to enhance. I bought this set because I really needed a bigger "frame" piece. I must say that it well exceeded my expectations. I puched it out effortlessly. The surface was so smooth, and took the paint great. I easily cut it to the size I needed, and it worked perfectly. I painted it and then while it was wet, sprinkled it with Antique glass giltter, and love the result.
I can't wait to use the rest of them! I would highly reccommend this product
