    Improved my stamping 100% (31 July 2017)

I think next to my Cameo and Big Shot this is the only other tool that makes me smile when I use it. This makes it so easy to align my stamp to just the right spot. If I have to re-stamp an image, I don't have to worry about alignment, perfect every time.

This is a well made tool. The lid hinges are well set to the point I am not worried about it loosing up and coming out of alignment. The magnets that came with my Misti are the same large ones used by Basic Grey, very strong but not brittle. I am not worried about them cracking or breaking. I think that is change from older versions.

For storage, I use a cabinet with shallow drawers (approx. 2 inches) for my stamping supplies, this fits in perfectly. I could also stand this up on a shelf as the slim profile makes it easy to slip it into tight spaces.

While I would like to see a lower price, overall, I feel I received a well built tool for my money. You can't go wrong with this purchase! 😁

    Unimpressed (18 October 2016)

I was so excited to try this especially since it was a giveaway with purchase. I always appreciate manufacturers who do this, I just wish had great things to say about it

I used it to lay down a base paper (graphic 45) for a mini album and it completely warped. I should have known better as it seemed watery but the claim of mixed media I thought it might be different. Huge mistake.

I also had issues with the bottle from the moment I opened it, there is something wrong with the cap as it doesn't let things flow out. It is almost like a suction back into the bottle. I am just frustrated at this point and sooooooo glad it was free!

I am sure the hold is great but I need a drier glue for "mixed media" and a bottle that allows the product easily come out.

perfect orange color (02 June 2016)

I love her tangerine ink pad. They are so full of ink it doesn't take much to ink up the most demanding of stamps. Her tangerine orange is bright clear orange which is perfect for everything from flowers to kids to popsicles to pumpkins. It is become one of my go to inks pads.

Extremely versatile mix media product (31 March 2016)

I absolutely have fallen in love with these dry micro fine inks. Just the tiniest bit of powder brings the most vibrant of color. I like the versatility of these powders in different mediums. If you like watercolors you will not be disappointed, they are amazing. I used them to mix with texture paste, takes your mixed media to a new level. Once the paste dries the colors get brighter. I also made a spray up using them and no clogging.
Can't say enough nice things about these inks, they make it so easy try out mix media on your projects.

improve my stamping (30 January 2016)

Wow. I had no idea acrylic stamps needed a surface that has "give". This stamp mat has improved my stamping by leaps and bounds. I now get clean crisp images.

I have heard people use mouse pads, this mat is less "squishy". The mat is light weight and has two textures. The main one is on the stamping area and the other is the narrow part for the piercing. I love that it comes with the piercer since there is usually die cut involved when I stamp.

I think this well thought out stamping mat and piercer would be a good tool for anyone who has stamps.

Wonderful little machine (30 January 2016)

In my opinion, this machine is the Gold Standard of manual die cutter machines. Taking it out of the box, it feels solid and attaching the handle was a breeze. I was die cutting with minutes of taking it out of the box.

I have done several cards, cuts for a mini albums and scrapbook pages. The machine handles dies from other companies with no problems.

I was worried and confused about the different ways to stack the plates. No worries, all the instructions are on the base plate. It makes it so easy, no hunting for an instruction book.

I can't say enough nice things about this machine.

  • Best boy collection in years (12 January 2016)

This is a fabulous collection for anyone who scraps for any young man. It covers all the things boys are into from tween through teenage years there is something for all. I love the mix of music, sports, skateboarding, school work along with pop culture reference. I also love love love the positive messaging. I think Simple Stories hit this out of the park.

Magnetic Sizzix Platform (10 August 2015)

I have been using a lot of thinlets, framelets and other metal dies, this is worth every penny especially when its on sale.
I just put down my dies, it snaps into place and stays.
I don't have to struggle getting the tape on right or how it comes off.

There is also an extended platform as well but so far the standard size fits my needs....and budget. :0

  • Wonderful quality papers (07 June 2015)

This collection is my first experience with Jellybean soup. I am now looking for more of their collections. I loved the quality of this paper, it has amazing weight and perfect color tones. I can do a softer palette or a brighter stronger palette and it all works. It can be very elegant or very fun.

I loved the patterns, couldn't get enough of them especially the grey and the green. The "pea pod" pack is fantastic. The pieces work great together to create layouts or cluster but also blend with so many lines that I have been able to use them on several layouts. There was a nice mix of different patterns and items. Most of my pages are for my sons so I was happy that there was not a ton of flowers or floral pattern.

This is a good quality investment, I am already hoarding scraps. :)

Nice set of alphas (29 May 2015)

These letters come in a variety of colors but only bought the grey to finish a project using the cold avocado soup collection.
These letters do not come in a sheet, the picture is just to show what is included. They are packaged like the pea pod pieces, all together. They are not adhesive backed.

I like these as they have a different feel to them than regular chipboard. There is a coating that gives the idea of plastic but from what I understand they are not. Due to the material Jillibean uses, the gray matches the papers perfectly (cold avocado soup). I find that some chipboard letters can be a little off in the color tones. The other nice attribute is how light weight and thin they are, it won't make your pages feel bulky or super thick.
The thin profile also makes it easier to run through your xyron x.

I think this is good comprise if you are looking for some dimension but don't want the bulk of regular chipboard.

  • Wonderful baby boy collection (18 May 2015)

I loved working with the first edition of this collection and love the sequel. These colors are so perfectly on trend but timeless as well. The patterns are so easy to blend as there is a good mix of small and large patterns. The paper quality is fantastic.

I was sold when I saw the iconic baby things, animals and great patterns. Often baby boy lines are devoid of these classic things. Echo Park made a classic collection with this one.

    amazing value (15 March 2014)

I love Bo Bunny. I have spent a pretty penny on their collections and accessories. Originally, I had passed on the noteworthy thinking it was something I could do at home. I am so glad that I didn't go that route this time. I did 4, 12x12 layouts using a lot of embellishments from this pack and still had a ton left over. The designs and shapes are inspiring but what really sold me was the versatility and flexibility they give you in designing your page or project.
To me this a great bang for your buck and they add so much to your design process as well as the page or project.

  • disappointed (03 October 2013)

I really wanted this to work and have tried and tried with this company.
I bought it originally in 2011 and have had issues with it on and off ever since.

When this works it is fabulous. I like the size of it, its easy glide and the level of tack on all options.

However, I constantly run into a problem with the tape getting messed up and the whole cartridges not working. I have lost three brand new ones right out of the package. They were bought at different times and different vendors. I have tried different levels of tack but they have failed. At a minimum of 8.99 a pop its just too expensive to have this be a wild card if I get one that works or not.

Apparently I am not alone as my LSS has a huge box in the back room filled with return refills.

    Buy at your own risk!

  • Love these (03 October 2013)

I finally started using these paper pads for my layouts. I used to think they were only for card makers or a small album but no they are great for layouts.

I have a couple of kids so I would buy at least 4 sheets of each style in a collection worried I would not have enough for each album if I cut up a favorite design. Now I can save my 12x12 sizes and buy less by buying this pad. I use it on my cricut, journaling spaces, some matting and embellishments.

My only complaint is that Bo Bunny doesn't do all the pp of the collection in the pad. I wish they would do some of the cut up tags in this size too.

Overall the 6x6 pads are a great investment for their versatility.

    Journaling spaces (13 May 2013)

I really like Bo bunny's Note worthy cards especially the ones for this collection. There are a nice variety of shapes and sizes for journaling as well as some embellishments.

    NIce collection (13 May 2013)

I initially passed on this collection since I have boys but after really looking at the messages on the stickers and chipboard I wanted it.

Bo bunny always does a nice job on the quality of their stickers but in Serenade they made more open journaling tags. This is one of the reasons I bought this collection.

Love the colors and the more I think about it the more uses I can see for it. I would say get it while its still in stock!

  • Love these page protectors (09 March 2013)

I am hooked on this company's albums and page protectors. I love them even more for realizing that there is need for protectors like these. They offer good variety, easy to get in/out of and so durable.

    Great Products!

  • Difficult for edges (14 September 2011)

I like These colors especially for doing edges but, the ink pad is surrounded by so much edge that it makes it hard to get some angles without using a dauber or some other applicator.

  • great addition to your cricut (27 August 2009)

this is a nice extra to have on your cricut! I used it on plain chipboard to add a layer of thickness to letters I cut out on the cricut. It adds dimension and gives me the flexibility to either top them with paper, ink or paint.

If you are looking for something that will add flexibility and value to your cricut, give this a good look.

  • You have to use it to appreciate it! (16 July 2009)

I held off buying this cartridge for a long time, until recently I couldn't figure what I would need it for. Well after a few trips to the zoo and some farms this spring I decided to to take the plunge.
After using it, I started to see all the things I could have done with it when my boys were younger, like an animal book with the sounds. However I am finding different uses as well like a pumpkin patch layout.

I like that the each animal also has its sound. I can also just do the head or cut the whole animal and then put in a different color paper, press shift and get detail cuts for dimension. For example I did the cow border in white and did the spots and hooves in black. This also does book marks and borders.

This is good for anyone who has kids, teaches, likes animals etc. Really fun cartridge.

  • mixed feeling (11 November 2008)

I bought this because of Friskars reputation for quality cutting instruments.

The cutter has been nice but I was disappointed in that the corner storage covers came off and broke so easily. The cutter is very light considering its size. It might have been the one I got from Michael's but I have had to run my blade over cardstock a few times to cut when it was new.

It does well with larger pieces of paper but not thin smaller pieces such as cleaning up an edge that was was not cut straight..

I do like that the black strip in the base under the blade can be taken out and flipped over on 4 different sides. It doesn't wear out as quickly. The arm also clamps down pretty tightly so there is no movement of the paper. I also like the safety of having to push the blade down to cut.

All in all it has served me well for scrapbooking. I think I may have had higher expectations because of growing up with their high quality sewing scissors.

Easy, time saving product. A must have!! (10 November 2008)

    I love Xron products!

This little gem has been great with the Cricut but also buttons and even ribbon. This is not only convient but I find it to be a time saver. When I do layering items like flowers or letters this will get it done fast and efficiently. It gives an even layer of adhesive especially helpful on ribbon.

I can also pre-adhere my cut outs for a crop, allowing me to just take the tape. One less thing to pack, lighter crop bag and more time spent finishing pages.

These replacement cartridges are so easy to load I had to do it twice. I just couldn't believe it was that easy. Ingenious design, good quality product... well worth the investment.
