um... yeah... does anyone remember that i have a son too???? if not, it's because getting pictures of him is an act of congress these days. :) thank goodness for the little snow fall we got the other day!!! sigh... look how happy he looks. soooooo refreshing!!!!
JOURNALING: It seems more and more rare that I get to see you realllllly enjoy yourself. You are very much in a transitional stage of life right now. A stage where what you love literally months ago seems childish and boring now, but you aren’t quite to a place where you’re ready for the more mature things. So you usually seem to sort of “coast” through whatever you are doing... just waiting for something exciting and “cool” to happen. Well... this was the event that fit perfectly between those lines. It’s something that may happen once a year if we’re lucky, so it’s new and fresh and exciting. But it’s also cool, because you get to make snowballs and treat them as weapons against “the enemy” and engage in a big war... perfect for the maturing “warrior” type boy-thinking going on in your head right now. It was so exciting for me to watch you sort of break free from the binding hold this phase has on you and just have some fun. This is the first of many of these phases you will go through in life... I’m so eager to see what lies on the other side. In the meantime, I will take these carefree moments of laughter from even the most unlikely sources.
