My daughter's first time in the snow wasn't until Christmas Eve when we were up at my Dad's. Yes I live in Montana, but our winter has been very mild, and it was the first time there was enough snow on the ground for her to "play in." This layout is inspired by the work of SamsMom's "Your life. Our Stories". Layouts. I've decided to do a series of layouts called "the first year - -4.2007 to 04.2008. Becky's work really inspires me, and has helped me take my creativity and work to another level! Journaling reads: All bundled up in your snowsuit, I was sure your first time in the snow would be a magical moment. It was Christmas Eve at Grandpa’s house, and I was so excited that they got some snow, as we hadn’t had much back home. After wrestling you down to the ground to get you in the snowsuit, I kept telling you how much you were going to like the snow, and that we were going to have fun. Unfortunately, it didn’t turn out quite the way I had envisioned it. Yes, your snowsuit kept you toasty and warm, but it was so bulky that you couldn’t move. It reminded me of that kid in “A Christmas Story”, and I couldn’t help but laugh. I plopped you in the snow in a sitting position, and you promptly started falling backwards. You layed there for a second, blinking and enjoying your view of the sky. Then you tried to roll over. You poor little thing, it was like a turtle was stuck on it’s back, and once again, I was laughing. You, on the other hand, didn’t find the situation as funny.
