I made this layout for the September lyrics challenge.
The song, same as the page's title, is by the artist Pink.
I can't believe how much I like it.

I inked a blue piece of patterned paper from my stash.
The paper in the upper left corner is a scrap of vellum that I misted with my homemade glimmer spray then used a heating element on which caused it to curl.
I attached another piece of patterned paper to give a contrast behind the pics, also from my stash.
I then used my favorite stamp from Stampin' Up, Baroque Motif, and I stamped some areas of the paper.
I used the Martha Stewart punches that I just got at M's on clearance this week, its a border and around the corner Gothic Arches punch. After I punched the mats I sprayed them with my own shimmer mist.
I then took more vellum scraps and stamped the Baroque stamp on it and then inked and embossed them and adhered them to different places on the paper, then took more vellum - inked them then did the journalling and wrote in some of the song lyrics.
I had the long swirly flourish in my Cricut stash (where I save pieces that I cut out, but haven't used yet) and sprayed it with the shimmer and then adhered it.
The small circle medallions are also stamped with the Baroque set on vellum and embossed.
I then masked the pictures and the journalling and sprayed more shimmer mist on the whole page then dried it with a heating tool which caused the background paper and vellum to curl, which I really like how it added more depth to the page.

Journalling:
The evocative music from the piano in the song first caught my attention, the addition of Pink's melodic voice and the lyrics made me like it even more.
My interpretation of the song is the narrator looking for reassurance of shared experiences from the listener and to know that they will both be okay when its all said and done.
It reminds me to stay positive during bad times and that I'm not the only one that has bad days. I believe you have to weather storms to get rainbows and even stormy clouds have silvery linings, so I felt these pictures matched the song's message.

Thanks so much for visiting my layout!
