Great LO Tanya...I never knew you could grow in water in a vase...hmmm...might have to try that. Great mix of papers, makes it very visually appealing.
*CS* This LO is just beautiful. I love everything. Tulips are my favourite flowers so you’ll have to tell me how you grew them exactly. Would love to try it. I think it’s a great idea to include the curriculum on the page.
CS: Love the tulip pictures! Very clean and simple design--I love it! Great color combination, and I love how you did the journaling in white! Looks great!
My entry for the 'Every kid should' challenge: Every kid should experiment with simple science projects.
These tulips were grown in water in a clear glass vase. We could see the bulbs and roots in addition to the stems. leaves, flowers, and flower parts.
Journaling: In February 2008 ***** and I bought a pot of tulip bulbs just for fun. Coincidentally *****'s 3rd grade class was studying the structure of plants at the same time. Nothing like "aligning" our at home "enrichment" with the MA curriculum.
The chart on the left is a print out of the part of the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks for Science highlight the standards for grades 3-5 that we talked about at home while growing the tulips.
