Hidden Journaling: (Written By My Darling David)
Ok readers, I want a gut feeling on the following question, an instant reaction, no thinking just quick look and answer me this: are the kids in this photo cousins or best friends? We probably had plenty of guesses for either one but the correct answer is COUSINS! For those of you that answered cousins I applaud the insight of your insides. For those best friend guessers, please don't be hard on your guts; we can't get them all right. But yes, these four adorable children are in reality cousins. I have tried figuring out what level of cousin they are to each other but each time my head starts to spin I figure it's safer to just call them cousins. When they are all together you would think these kids are neighbors or classmates with the way they interact. In reality, Lacy lives in West Virginia, they are all different ages, and they only get together when our entire family does. They just have this closeness, something I never had with my cousins. Now I know things like Facebook, email and cell phones make communication a lot easier then when I was their age, but it's something else with them. It's as if I can actually see the family bond between them! I even find myself calling Lacy my niece when she's really my second cousin. As important as family really is I pray these cousins remain best friends no matter how many years roll by.
