Did this little LO at work today to get a handful of challenges knocked out - mostly for the Anything Goes Challenge of the past four days.

8-2. Eight pairs of two
8-3. ABC s
8-4. Random
8-5. Sketch

In addition, I'm going to turn it in to the Scrap Your Pet challenge.

Mare Power is the term used by breeders when they are discussing a great lineup of mares (adult female horses). When you have mare power, you have a strong group of good quality mares, with deep pedigrees, and stallion owners love to see you coming down their driveways. Your girls will make their boys look good when the foals arrive.

Here's 75% of the mare power in my pasture. The other mare is out doing her job with a local stallion owner. She's going to be raising a beautiful foal for my friend Angie this coming spring.

Registered names are so much fun to come up with. They're usually a combination of the sire (father) and the dam (mother) and they're very frequently a personal play on words. When you talk about a horse's parents you say "by" when you name the father and "out of" when you name the mother. So here's how I came up with the names I did for these three girls.

Spend It Quick is by Spendthrift and out of Stop Me Quick.

Spendala Dolce is by Spendthrift and out of Jolie. Her momma's name is Italian for "pretty" and Dolce's name is Italian for "spend it sweetly".

Mocha Java Cheer is by Wap Rah Cheer and out of Cody Impressed Me. Her name is based on her color and the fact that I was really addicted to Mocha Java Chillers the year she was born.
