You did a really fantastic job of doing a page without an actual photo!! I love that cuckoo clock.... You've created a great way to save those beloved memories at your nanny's house!!! I love this page and your journaling, and all the little details!!
Absolutely love it Michelle!! It is such a creative way to share a special memory!! Love the way you have painted the clock and the haw you have showcased it in the scalloped circle!! The mix of G45's and Websters work amazingly well together!! Gorgeous work!!
Absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!!!! Love your design, all the rich color, your jounaling............ love it all! You definately made the clock the focal point here! Fab work!!! I have only made 1 lo that didn't have a person in it.... thought I'd never do that but the hedge my dh planted for me really meant a lot... so I scrapped it! LOL Love this Michelle!!
oh GOSH, Michelle, this page is an absolute treasure!! How brilliant of you to create a lo without the photo...and relay this precious memory and story of your Nan's clock. You have an incredible gift for creating meaningful and memorable heritage pages, and this one tops the list!!! Your altered DA pieces are soooo lovely!!! That circle cutout featuring the clock with the scalloped edges looks AWESOME!!! LOVE the journalling on that beautiful scalloped mat with the title. You should write a "how-to" book on heritage pages!!! Another vintage beauty of yours for my FAVE file!!
This is the first time I've ever did a LO without an actual photo...but this gorgeous cuckoo clock from Dusty Attic evoked such strong memories of my nan's clock that I wanted to do a LO despite not having an actual photo to go with it. The clock was inspired by a clock that Maggie had coloured and I just fell in love with it! The lovely flowers were hand made by Pam N. I received them in a flower swap over at Pages in Time . Aren't they gorgeous???The journaling reads " Growing up, I always loved the cuckoo clock that hung on the living room wall at Nanny Lewis' house. I loved for the top of the hour to strike to see and hear that clock do its thing! I'm not even sure where that old clock ended up, but everytime I see a cuckoo clock, I think of my Nanny's house---a beloved place of my childhood " This Lo is for the Sept sketch challenge over at Dusty Attic. TFL!
