Beautiful page! Love the butterflies. Don't they grow up so fast? My son graduated HS last year, I can't believe he's already sophomore in college this coming fall. It was the hardest thing when he left for college. I cried everyday for 2 months, I still do from time to time, but it's a lot easier for me now.
A gorgeous layout...the butterflies are beautiful and they look as they are taking off in flight!!! Congratulations to Chelsea on her graduation!
Another chapter has been recorded in her book of life. A bitter sweet moment for you I'm sure...
High School Graduation really is a bitter-sweet moment..I can even remember how that felt..unfortunately I can't remember where I put my glasses... hee hee.. Beautiful page, Michelle... those butterflies really do create a gentle sense of ...flying :)
So pretty and I totally hear you about the bittersweetness of this age!! I like the aqua and the orange together and I love your idea of "grounding" the alphas with some shadowing...I will have to try that for sure! GORGEOUS pic of Chelsea!! I think they are more relaxed when their friends are the photographer and you often get a more natural expression (that's what it is, Michelle, not your photography skills at all!)
WOW - such a heartfelt, lovely, touching lo. everthing about it is just BEAUTIFUL. Isn't is strange how we spend our lives teaching our children to be independent and encourage them to spread their wings and when the time comes for them to "try their wings" we are NOT READY??? Congrats to your DD, you must be soooo proud.
oh my oh my!! This is BREATHTAKING, Michelle! Yes, that pic of Chelsea is STUNNING...and it tugs at my heartstrings too, when I read that journalling and look at how grown up she is in this photo. sniff sniff. You have created a masterpiece with this BoBunny...LOVE all the cutting and the flowers you altered look soooo pretty! The chippie pieces are beautiful too! All the ruffled edges are just lovely. This page is ready to FLY into my FAVES :)
I know what you mean,Michelle-I felt the same way when my son graduated last year! This is gorgeous;love the stitching and thoise beautiful butterflies-they were definitely worth the effort!
Oh my goodness - makes me want to cry, too. My daughter is going to be a senior in high school next year. The photo is so beautiful - she looks like a very lovely young woman! Your page is awesome!!!!!!
I know exactly how you feel Michelle.. our girls are the same age and Yiscka has her final exams this and the following week too...makes me a little bit sad too...in september she will start a four year study in a different city...she will be traveling up and down to school by bus and train every day, but knowing her, she will be leaving the nest soon...oh my..sigh, time sure does fly, doesn't it? they are ready to fly, not sure if we moms are ready too LOL!
wish your girl lots of succes!!!!
one very beautiful page...gorgeous foto of chelsea...her friend is quite a whizz with the camera...luv all your very impressive details, the flowers and flourishes are awesome and all the fluttabys so very cute...wishing your daughter much success along her future chosen pathway
A Lo of my DD who's just about to graduate from high school...ready to fly off to the next stage of her life!So cool yet so sad. Another awesome photo by Chelsea's friend Kassie Lukeman{ I think I need to take photography lessons from that kid!) I used the letters included with the Gabrielle line but I found they sort of disappeared into the background...so , using a brown sharpie marker I created a shadow under them to help give them some depth. All the orange flowers are plain white Petaloo flowers first inked with a little Dusty Durango Stampin' Up ink and then spritzed with a Dried Marigold { Distress refill } mixed with gold Perfect pearls powder. All those butterflies were a pain in the patootie to cut out but did alot to contribute to the flying away theme. I curled their wings a little and painted on a layer of Stickles Star Dust for a little shimmer. Journaling spot reads" Almost 18...almost time to graduate...almost ready to fly ". Makes me want to cry...can't believe she's soon graduating...didn't she just start Kindergarten last week??? TFL!
