I Love this page Laura! We must go get our toes done again soon. I have to put together a LO still of the pictures we took from last time. Maybe we can work on it together :)
Very great page!!! I really love the way you did your title in all different colors, and all of the wonderful beach themed embellishments!! Very charming!! What a neat looking manicure and pedicure! :))
Love the fun-ness of this. Also being a germ freak - tis the reason I never get a pedicure. No one is good enough for my 20 claws. Love your flowers at the top and you matched them puuuurfectly. Looks like the vacation was a smashing great time.
Another person who freaks out over the germ possibilities of pedicures! I've only ever had one because I find the whole idea icky. LOL I think your nails turned out absolutely beautifully though. Your page looks fabulous too. I love that the flower embellishment looks like the one on your nails.
Good for you, Laura, for joining your friends at the spa!!! Look at the beautiful result...gorgeous toes and a gorgeous page! You are rocking the Cricut designs! Fantastic work!
I don't blame you, those salons can be a bit scary! Haven't gone in sometime for that same reason, haha! Anyhow, your nails looked great, perfect for the Bahamas! Luv the embellies, very cute!
Really cute and creative...glad you got to do the mani-pedi..they did a greast job. Great design and title work. Congratulations to you and your dh and your parents on the anniversaries.
Love your painted nails and the way you've scrapped them! The colours and embellies are perfect and the titlework is awesome!!'ve never had a mani or pedi either; I'm not a germophobe, but I'm kind of uncomfortable being touched by strangers.
I LOVE how you did the title!! Cute toes and thumb too! Very cool design and I didn't realize the "Create a Critter" cartridge thing had so many different things on it! You are doing great on these vacation layouts! I only hope I do as well with the wedding photos!
LOVE IT - CUTE, ADORABLE, FUNNY - great job on the flower to match the ones on your fingernail. FABULOUS colours, and inspirational style & design. (You are welcome for the hat; the sandals I gave you were different, and I don't recognize the bag either - think hard so you can thank the sender, LOL) FAVES - I really like the details.
oh Laura, your page is perfect! ... those flowers are a great match for the ones on your thumb. I do not blame you one bit for the germphobia - I've never done a mani or pedi for the same reason.
I am a germophobe and hadn't had a pedicure or manicure in MANY YEARS, until some friends recently asked me to have a "girls' day" with them and give it a whirl. Prior to attending, one friend asked a lot of questions of the salon on my behalf, with respect to the hygience practices, and then I went in to get more details myself. I brought my own nail files to use and the staff brought out bagged, sterilized equipment to use which was then further sprayed with alcohol. Each foot bath had its own plastic liner, fresh for each customer, after bleaching them. So, I decided to give it a whirl. I was heading for a vacation to the Bahamas, so in preparation for that, I had a tropical sunset painted on one of my toes and tropical flowers painted on one thumb. I thought it was very pretty!
I tried to make the flowers in the top right corner look similar to those on my thumb, and I made the scene to the left of the photo look similar to the one on my toe. The copper paper is close to the colour of my toenail polish choice.
The trip was in celebration of our anniversary and my parents' 45th anniverary, so this "mani-pedi" is a nice reminder of the trip. I had to scrap it!
I used the Cricut "Pagoda" cartridge to make the flowers, the "Create A Critter" cartridge for the palm trees and leaves, and the "George and Basic Shapes" cartridge for the sunset. I hand cut the seaguls and ripped the water waves by hand.
Thank you to my mom, "Quick Silver" for the cute little sunhat in the bottom right (and possibly the beach bag and sandals too).
